EMI rejects Warner Offer

EMI Music today rejected Warner Musics $4.1 Billion offer, describing
it as inadequate.

Warner said 10 days ago it made a takeover approach for EMI, noting
it had the support of Britain`s Independent Music Publishers and
Labels Association.

Today's news comes amid fresh speculation that HMV was planning to
close several stores. HMV has firmly denied this rumour.

Strummer Visits Canada

In early March '07 Strummer is attending Canadian Music Week in Toronto. We are travelling with Ernest who play a showcase at the Bovine sex club on March 9th. We are attending conferences there and promoting Ernest as well as the Manchester Funk/Hip hop band MM2 and we'll be putting in a word or 2 for a few other bands, especially Aron Paul who's been developing hand in hand with Strummer magazine for the last couple of years.

World of Expectation album

It's been a long time in the making but we're finally on the verge of releasing our long awaited Compilation album (World of Expectation) in March. The delay was caused when the Mechanical Copyright Society (MCP) sent our licence to Sonic Vista HQ in Hull and it wasn't picked up (rather buried) over there. After chasing the MCP, I found out it had been sat in Hull for 3 weeks.
This licence enables us to produce the CD and ensures Artists get any royalties due.
