Strummer has been around since 2003. We started out as a published magazine (A5 format) but in 2006 went online for the versatility and cost benefits. We have always provided this service free and our contributions are from volunteer journalists.
The site has been responsible for supporting up and coming bands and we are proud to have reviewed the likes of Au Revoir Simone, Ida Marie, The Joy Formidable, Friendly Fires etc before they achieved their current level of success.
In 2010 the site began to focus on progressive rock, post rock, alternative and post punk.
We're always interested in having new reviewers on-board.
